This was a travel experience where I sought to seriously define; 'what is Spanish architecture?' I hiked from San Sebastian to Bilbao via El Camino de Santiago prior to the start of the group trip. Walking among the engulfing hills and cliffs of the northern coast directly influenced how I looked at the geometry of Basque Country architecture. This kicked off my focus on Spain's landscape as we traveled by bus southwest and then northeast along the coast.
The later chapters talk about more more complex geometries, colors, reflections, and metaphorical symmetries.
The book is composed with captions and photographs on the left page and sketches and text on the right page.
