The prototypes for this piece of furniture were a collaborative effort in Urban Design Build Studio.  The client, Construction Junction, is a building material reuse retailer who wants to add value-added products to their inventory to grow their market and customer base.

The first prototype used exclusively reclaimed materials including white oak, reinforced corrugated glass, pine 4x4s, a solid wood core door, and new casters.

The project was disassembled and the second prototype continued to use the same key reclaimed materials of 3/4" thick white oak and 3/8" thick reinforced corrugated glass.

The final product was built by Matt Robinson of Solid PGH.  We met with Matt to determine final design changes and the information he needed for fabrication drawings.

I worked on a team with Ming Ming Lin, Alise Kuwahara Day, Sharon Rubin, William Gott, Matt Dawson, Harris Mazur, Kyle Woltersdorf, Chris Chan, Sandra Kalanyan, and Ying Lin.
