Hollow core doors are donated to Construction Junction faster than the non profit building reuse retailer can sell at $5 a door. The Project RE_Entry marquee displays the transformed door material as a value-added product - a panelized graphic sign. Similar to the primary structure the graphic is CNC etched.

Using the full-scale prototype to iterate the detail of attaching the hollow core door panels to plywood structure.
You never know what will be the interior structure of the hollow core door - but it will always allow the thin plywood facing the warp. CNC etching with the 1/8" ball nose bit needed to be calibrated to the 1/100"over multiple areas on each door.
The graphic was generated in Rhinoceros - through an addon called Grasshopper. This image of a water droplet creating waves outwards speaks to the impact of Project RE_ on the communities has and will effect.
There are three variations of pixel with the open circle being scaleable.
